This is a 10 strands Laiki shell lei. 

Laiki or Rice shells are members of the molluscan family Columbellidae, with the species name being mitrella margarita. The color of Laiki shells use to made this lei are “yellowish beige shells with brown markings” which is know as Lenalena color. In this listing, I also add pictures before and after the sand remove from the shells. This beautiful Laiki shell lei will be finish with traditional double Granulate cowrie shells either white or brown color. Origin of shells: Niihau
