This is a beautiful set of genuine Niʻihau Momi shells with a natural yellow hue and very high luster — perfect for creating fine traditional Niʻihau-style jewelry. If you plan to make a lei, earrings, or even a bracelet in the Pikake style, this is an excellent set to use. You’ll need about 12 shells to create 1 inch of Pikake, so with this set you can create approximately 8 inches of Pikake style.
If you are new to Niʻihau shells and don’t yet know how to poke the shells or which poking tool to use, you may prefer to start with my pre-poked shells sets or a Niʻihau shell kit — both are great options for beginners.
