This Niʻihau Momi shell set (ニイハウ モミ シェル) features large-size shells that are rarely found in Hawaiian shell jewelry. These shells have natural off-white and cream tones and are pre-poked for easy stringing, making them suitable for both beginners and experienced creators. Large Momi shells are uncommon, as most Momi found over the years tend to be medium size.
If you are learning Pikake style, a general guide is about 12 shells per inch, giving you a helpful starting point for practicing this technique.
