These small size Momi shells are perfect for four-strand earrings or lei designs. You can still use them to create pikake style earrings, but the look will be a bit smaller and more delicate. If you prefer a lighter weight and not too bold style, this size can work beautifully. For a fuller pikake look, I recommend using medium size Momi shells.
If you’d like to create a crown flower style design combined with Kahelelani shells (like my Earrings #2614), I used this same size of Momi shells together with Kahelelani size 10. For one pair of 2.5-inch crown flower earrings in this style, you will need 96 Momi shells and 48 Kahelelani shells.
