20" Niʻihau Shell Lei & Earring Set – Moonrise Pendant with Momi & Kahelelani
This one-of-a-kind matching Niʻihau shell lei and earring set is a celebration of color, craftsmanship, and culture — made for collectors and those who appreciate authentic Hawaiian artistry. The centerpiece is a rare 25mm Moonrise shell (Langford’s Pecten) from Oʻahu, known for its striking blue-gray shimmer. This unique coloration is shaped by ocean depth, water clarity, and the shell’s natural age — making it extremely difficult to find and highly treasured by collectors.
Surrounding the Moonrise pendant is a vibrant arrangement of Momi and Kahelelani shells, each carefully chosen for its natural color, condition, and cultural meaning.

These shell origins were shared with me by a respected and trusted Niʻihau shell supplier, and I pass them along with deep gratitude and respect for the knowledge shared.
Niʻihau is a privately owned island and is not accessible to the public. Many areas are known by traditional names used only within the local community. These beaches are not marked on public maps, and shell collection is permitted only by Niʻihau residents or those with permission. I share this origin information to honor the cultural heritage of Niʻihau shell jewelry and the people who continue its tradition.
