This Kahelelani shell supply features carefully selected shells from Niʻihau, offered in a natural mix of soft, earthy tones just as shown in the photo. Size 13 is a perfect size for beginner start, easy to handle while still showcasing the beautiful patterns and character Kahelelani shells are known for.
If you would like to create a Manuʻa Loa style, this set of shells can create almost 12" in length, using approximately 17 shells per inch. For those planning a Poepoe style with four strands, it will take about 50 shells to create one inch, making this set ideal for learning, practicing, and planning your design with confidence.
With each set of loose shells, I always include a few extra shells, just in case any have slight natural imperfections. I carefully sort and check every set and do my very best to avoid including shells with imperfections, but this gives you a little peace of mind while creating.
