This Kahelelani shell supply from Niʻihau features a softly varied mix of creamy whites, pale blush tones, and naturally speckled patterns, exactly as shown in the photo. Size 13 is considered beginner friendly, offering a comfortable balance that makes it easier to handle shells, observe natural color variation, and practice layout without feeling overwhelmed by very small sizes.
If you are planning to create a Manuʻa Loa style, this set can make close to 12" in length, using approximately 17 shells per inch. For a Poepoe style with four strands, plan on about 50 shells per inch, making this set a helpful option for beginners who want to understand shell spacing, material planning, and design flow before moving on to more advanced projects.
As with all of my loose shell sets, I include a few extra shells in each bundle in case any have slight natural imperfections. Every set is carefully sorted and inspected, and the extra shells are added to give you peace of mind while creating.
