This set includes a step-by-step guide on how to create Pikake-style shell earrings, one of the most cherished traditional Niʻihau techniques. When strung in two strands with the mouths facing outward, the shells form a layered, blooming shape inspired by the male flower of the coconut tree.
✨ Helpful tip: You’ll need approximately 12 shells to create 1 inch of Pikake-style design (6 shells per strand).
