This triple-strand lei is created in the Kipona style, combining Poepoe-style Kahelelani shells with Momi shells woven using the Pikake technique. Once finished, the Momi section forms a soft, layered texture that resembles the male coconut flower, giving the lei a natural elegance and gentle movement. This is one of my statement pieces, made with all the beautiful and unique shell colors that make this lei truly special. It took me years to collect all the shell sizes and colors needed to complete this lei — a piece full of depth, harmony, and Hawaiian artistry.
