This is a beautiful mixed-color set of Kahelelani shells from Niʻihau. These shells are considered very small in size and are best suited for detailed jewelry work and experienced shell artists who enjoy working with tiny Hawaiian shells.
I personally use size 10 Kahelelani shells for Heliconia-style earrings, Plumeria designs, delicate minimalist earrings, and other detailed Niʻihau shell jewelry work. Their tiny size creates a very fine and elegant finished look.
If you are new to working with Niʻihau shells, I recommend starting with size 12 or larger for easier handling and poking. Please feel free to browse other listings in my Etsy shop for more beginner-friendly shell sizes. :)
