The arrangement blends ʻUlaʻula (red/burgundy), ʻĀkala Pua (pink flower), ʻŌmaʻomaʻo ʻIkaika (dark green, where ikaika means “strong” or “intense”), ʻŌmaʻomaʻo ʻĀhiehie (light green, where ʻāhiehie means “pale” or “light”), and Keʻokeʻo (white).
In Hawaiian, Keʻokeʻo translates to “white.” But with Kahelelani shells, Keʻokeʻo doesn’t mean a stark or solid white. Instead, these shells usually carry a creamy undertone, sometimes kissed with a soft pink blush or delicate light brown rings circling the shell.
