These 1 1/4" earrings, about 1/4" thick, are crafted in the Poepoe style, giving them a round and full appearance. Hand-strung with 100% genuine Niʻihau Kahelelani shells (ニイハウ カヘレラニ シェル), this pair showcases a beautiful natural luster, glowing with the colors of Hawaiʻi.

The arrangement blends ʻUlaʻula (red/burgundy), ʻĀkala Pua (pink flower), ʻŌmaʻomaʻo ʻIkaika (dark green, where ikaika means “strong” or “intense”), ʻŌmaʻomaʻo ʻĀhiehie (light green, where ʻāhiehie means “pale” or “light”), and Keʻokeʻo (white).

In Hawaiian, Keʻokeʻo translates to “white.” But with Kahelelani shells, Keʻokeʻo doesn’t mean a stark or solid white. Instead, these shells usually carry a creamy undertone, sometimes kissed with a soft pink blush or delicate light brown rings circling the shell. This makes them feel more natural and earthy, like tiny treasures shaped by the ocean. Keʻokeʻo is also one of the most common Kahelelani shell colors, yet it remains one of the most beautifully natural, with each shell holding its own subtle shading and uniqueness.

This design highlights not only the beauty of the shells but also their cultural significance, where Hawaiian language and colors come together in a timeless piece of jewelry.
