ShellsHawaii Custom Orders 2026 — A Warm Update

Posted by Janjira on Jan 13th 2026

Aloha and welcome everyone,

Thank you so much for being here — whether you’re visiting my website or stopping by my Etsy shop. I’m truly grateful for your time, your curiosity, and your support.

I wanted to take a quiet moment to answer a question many of you have kindly asked me over the past months: Am I starting custom orders for 2026 yet?

Before anything else, I want to say thank you from my heart to everyone who has reached out with interest in a custom order. I am truly honored by your requests. I also want to thank my dear customers who have been patiently waiting since September of 2025. Your kindness, understanding, and patience mean more to me than words can say.

The last part of 2025 was a very full season for me. From October through the holidays, I spent long days working on my website, creating new pieces, and carefully packing and shipping orders. During that time, I realized how important it is for me to slow down and listen to my body.

Since moving to Seattle full time, I’ve noticed how much the colder weather and dry air affect my work. Even in a warm room, the lack of moisture makes shell poking and stringing more challenging. My hands, eyes, and wrists feel the difference, especially after many long days at my table. I’ve been working 12-hour days for months, and my body has been gently reminding me that rest is just as important as creation.

Because of this, I will be taking the month of February to step away, visit family, and recharge. This time will help me return with fresh energy, steady hands, and a clear heart — so I can continue creating with the care and attention this art deserves.

When I return, my first priority will be to rebuild the jewelry inventory that sold during the holiday season. After that, I will lovingly begin creating the custom orders for those who have been waiting patiently since September 2025. Only after those commitments are complete will I be able to accept new custom orders.

I kindly ask for your understanding and patience during this time. Please know that this pause comes from care — for the work, for the shells, and for my own well-being.

You are always welcome to contact me. Sometimes, when I feel ready for a special challenge or a change of pace, I do take on a custom order even during quieter periods. While I can’t promise availability, I’m always happy to hear from you.

Looking ahead to 2026, I do have some travel plans as well. I truly love sitting at my table, creating and connecting with you. At the same time, I’m learning to balance that love with rest and everyday life. I do everything myself — from sorting shells to the final follow-up — and that will always remain part of how I work and why each piece is so personal.

This art has brought so much meaning into my life. It has taught me patience, strength, and gratitude. I’m deeply thankful to share this journey with you.

Thank you for being here, for supporting my work, and for loving these shells as much as I do. I wish I could do it all, but it is just me — and I promise to always do my best so we can enjoy this journey together, slowly and with care.

When I am ready to take on more custom orders, I will share the update on my blog and social media.

With much aloha and gratitude,
Janjira
