This Niʻihau Shell Kit features approximately 100 genuine Momi shells from the island of Niʻihau, pre-poked in the traditional Pikake style. Each shell has a soft off-white (Momi Tuaʻula) base with subtle light yellow and light blue hues naturally blended in. With very good natural luster and mostly medium size, these shells are excellent for creating earrings, leis, bracelets, or other traditional Hawaiian jewelry projects. This kit provides thread, findings, and step-by-step instructions so you can create your own authentic Niʻihau shell jewelry with aloha. As a guide, to create 1" of Pikake style, you’ll need approximately 14 Momi shells per inch.
