Yes — I do accept custom orders for Hawaiian shell jewelry, on a limited basis.
This means I’m not always able to take on custom orders. Each request is reviewed carefully based on the design details you’re looking for and what is realistically possible at the time. My goal is always to create something meaningful, balanced, and beautifully made — never rushed.

Each custom request may depend on:
- Design style
- Shell type (Momi, Kahelelani, Laiki, or other Hawaiian shells)
- Origin of shells (Niʻihau or Kauaʻi, depending on availability and request)
- Shell colors
- Desired length
- Availability of shells in the right sizes and quantities
These details help determine whether a custom piece can be created properly and with the care it deserves.

First, I review my current workload and finished jewelry inventory. When ready-to-wear pieces are low, I often need to focus my time and energy on creating new finished designs before accepting custom work. This balance allows me to keep my shop healthy while still honoring the time required for custom orders.
Time, Schedule, and Daily Life
Second, I look at my schedule and daily workload. Custom Hawaiian shell jewelry (ハワイアン シェル ジュエリー) requires focused time and patience. When my schedule is full, I want to be honest and make sure I can give your piece the attention it deserves.

Custom orders take more effort because they are created to match a specific request. This includes careful planning, thoughtful shell selection, and many small adjustments along the way. It’s much more than simply poking shells and stringing them together.
In many cases, both the customer and I see the finished piece for the first time at the same moment. That shared experience is special, but it also means extra responsibility and care go into every step to ensure the final result turns out beautifully.
Because Hawaiian shells are natural and rare, availability can change often. Some designs may not be possible at certain times, even if I’ve created something similar before.
Most of my custom pieces are created only once. I do not mass-produce or repeat the same design. Each custom Niʻihau shell jewelry piece (カスタム ニイハウ シェル ジュエリー) is guided by the shells themselves, my creative vision, and what looks most balanced and natural.
How the Custom Order Process Works
You’re welcome to share your idea with me, including the design style you’re drawn to, shell types or colors you love, and the length you’re hoping for. I review my inventory to confirm that I have the shells needed to bring your vision to life. Once that’s confirmed, I’ll let you know whether I’m able to take on your custom order and provide an estimated timeline. From there, I begin crafting your custom Hawaiian shell jewelry with care, patience, and close attention to detail.
Respecting Original Designs
If you’ve found a design you love that was created by another artist or designer, I want to be open and respectful — I’m not able to recreate another creator’s work exactly. I believe it’s important to honor the originality, creativity, and time that each artist puts into their designs. If you’re looking for the same pattern, layout, and color combination, I truly recommend reaching out to the original creator.
That said, I’m always happy to work with inspiration as a starting point. If you’d like to use a design as a general guide and explore something uniquely yours — with different patterns, shell combinations, or colors — I would be more than happy to collaborate with you and see what we can create together. Each custom piece is approached with care, creativity, and respect, allowing it to become something meaningful and one of a kind.
