Aloha and welcome to the ShellsHawaii blog everyone.
Today, I wanted to share a little update from my work table and some new Hawaiian shell jewelry designs I am currently planning and working on.
Lately, I have been preparing more Poepoe style Tahitian pearl earrings since most of the designs I previously created have already sold out from my collection. I really love combining tiny Kahelelani shells with Tahitian pearls because every pair always comes out unique with its own natural island feel.

I also plan to create a couple choker Kipona style shell lei that will measure around 17–20" featuring beautiful Momi shells such as yellow Lenalena, blueʻUliʻuli, and white Keʻokeʻo mixed with tiny Kahelelani shells that will be made in two strand Poepoe style. I think these natural Hawaiian shell colors will look beautiful together once the designs are finished.
Another Hawaiian shell jewelry idea I currently have in mind is a soft plumeria-inspired Puka shell design. This project will definitely require a lot of Puka shell hunting to find matching shell shapes and sizes, along with plenty of Kahelelani shell poking as well.
These lei designs feature beautiful shells from Kauaʻi created in traditional Kipona and two strand Poepoe styles with colorful Kahelelani shells and elegant Tahitian pearl accents in handcrafted Hawaiian shell jewelry designs.

These are some of the two strand and triple strand Poepoe style Kahelelani shell earrings designs that I previously created and completely sold out from my collection. Hopefully, I will be able to create more of these Hawaiian shell jewelry styles again very soon.

Right now, I am still in the early preparation stage for many of these upcoming creations, but hopefully I will be able to slowly add some of these new designs to my collection sometime near the end of this month.
So please check back again soon or follow my Instagram at @ShellsHawaii for little behind the scenes updates and previews of my newest Hawaiian shell jewelry creations.
Much aloha,
